Job Description:
As an Associate Director/Vocational Nursing Instructor , you will lead and support the delivery of high-quality nursing education through classroom, lab, and clinical instruction in alignment with the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) standards. You will play a key role in developing and evaluating curriculum, mentoring students, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with leadership to support the overall success of the program. Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership: Deliver hands-on, evidence-based instruction in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings.
Program Operations Support: Assist the Executive Director in overseeing the effective administration, accreditation compliance, and evaluation of the vocational nursing program.
Curriculum Implementation: Teach and implement the approved curriculum using diverse instructional methods including lectures, demonstrations, and discussions.
Clinical Coordination: Plan, lead, and supervise student activities in clinical settings, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes and patient safety standards.
Student Evaluation & Support: Assess student progress through written and practical examinations; provide individualized academic support and mentorship.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate documentation of student grades, attendance, and evaluations in accordance with institutional policies.
Professional Development: Foster the development of professional values, attitudes, and behaviors in students; serve as a positive role model.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Program Director, clinical sites, and instructional staff to ensure seamless student experiences.
Educational Resource Management: Assist in selecting, preparing, and utilizing instructional materials and technologies that support effective learning.
Compliance & Documentation: Adhere to all state and federal guidelines, including BVNPT and institutional standards, and maintain up-to-date lesson plans and documentation.
