Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Med/Surg Telemetry expertise, holding an active OH or compact license and required certifications for a rotating 13-week contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• D/N rotating 12-hour shifts, with the possibility of variable scheduling to meet operational needs
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Care for adult med/surg and telemetry patients
• Traveler may be required to float as needed
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday
• Assessment modules must be completed pre-start and annually as required by the facility
• Badge pick-up and onsite fingerprinting are required prior to start
• Permanent and per diem staff must wait 1 year after their previous end date before returning to the facility
• Assignment length at any facility location is limited to 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month break required before returning
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine screening requirements
• PAPRs for facial hair cannot be used except with approved exemptions
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Two supervisory references required for consideration

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active permanent OH or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required, prior to any travel assignments
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• No open background check cases or active license disciplinary actions
• Must be able to obtain BCI/FBI fingerprints within 48 hours of contract signing
