The role of a Store Manager extends beyond just retail sales. At Lori’s, you will provide a trusted place for joy and support when people need it most. You will provide products and services that nurture, inspire, and comfort. As a Store Manager in our gift shop, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and engaging from the heart while creating an exceptional Guest experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO (Responsibilities):

Store Managers lead the way in producing sales, setting the tone for the team, and increasing performance goals. Reporting to the District Sales Leader, you will build a sales-driven team to success. You will also:

1. Nurture hospital relationships by meeting important hospital contacts to address concerns, introduce new marketing/product, and follow up on past requests.
2. Recruit and coach sales staff on all aspects of sales for Lori's Gifts including sales techniques, products, promotions, and procedures.
3. Manage and motivate the sales team every day to ensure store sales quotas are met.
4. Provide performance feedback to all staff and set timeframes for achievement.
5. Find ways to increase employee and location productivity and grow sales.
6. Maintain appropriate staffing levels at the location by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
7. Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining inventory levels.
8. Market merchandise by following advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
9. Secure merchandise and protect employees by observing security standards.
10. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
11. Handle scheduling of staff at the location to ensure appropriate shift coverage.
12. Handle all intensified customer service issues.
13. Complete daily operational procedures with efficiency and due diligence.
14. Execute and implement Lori's Gifts procedures.
15. Other tasks as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Requirements):

1. 2 or more years of retail experience including 1 or more years in a store management or supervisor capacity.
2. High School diploma or GED or College degree.
3. Experience evaluating and hiring store personnel.
4. Willingness to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
5. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and capable of standing for long periods of time.
6. Flexible to open and close the store independently when needed.
7. Previous specialty or big box experience ideal.
