We are seeking Spanish Document Translators to join our USCIS contract team. This role requires high accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to process sensitive immigration-related materials under federal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Translate official USCIS documents (immigration forms, records, evidence submissions) from Spanish into English and English into Spanish.
  • Maintain terminology accuracy and consistency using USCIS glossaries and style guides.
  • Proofread translations to ensure clarity, grammar, and cultural appropriateness.
  • Deliver assignments within required deadlines, including expedited tasks.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control Analysts to meet ISO 17100 translation standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security protocols.
Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (native or near-native proficiency).
  • Bachelors degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of professional translation experience (legal or government documents preferred).
  • ATA certification or equivalent credentials strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools and secure translation platforms.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
