About the Internship

The Site Design & Layout Intern will work closely with the Pre-Construction Designer in the early stages of the site development process — supporting real estate and construction teams with conceptual layouts, feasibility studies, and pre-construction planning for 0.5–1.25-acre retail sites. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to learn how site design intersects with operational needs and construction requirements of our business in the early phases of the retail development lifecycle.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Create and refine conceptual site plans for corporate new builds, acquisitions, and franchise locations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to evaluate potential sites.
  • Prepare presentation exhibits for leadership review.
  • Update store databases and maintain drawing standards.
  • Coordinate and maintain prototype document databases and distribute documents as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or Construction Management.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Effective communicator with attention to detail and organization.

What You’ll Learn

  • Experience in commercial site design and development.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across real estate, pre-construction, legal, construction, and operations.
  • Mentorship from industry professionals and the opportunity to contribute to real projects.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker, possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
