FGS Global’s Creative Studio is a nimble, collaborative team within the larger firm, focused on developing creative work that effectively influences and engages key stakeholders. Each project is approached with strategic insight and creative excellence to produce outcomes that matter.

The firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Art Director that will serve as a core contributor to campaign development, leading ideation across multiple platforms including digital, print, video, and social. This role combines high-level conceptual thinking, with hands-on design execution, and includes opportunities for mentorship, client collaboration, and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 360° campaign development across digital, print, video, social, and experiential
  • Translate strategic insights into compelling creative concepts and executions
  • Develop brand identity systems and design visual assets
  • Conduct design discovery and creative audits
  • Present creative work to clients and prospects
  • Collaborate with internal teams across disciplines including strategy, digital, and public affairs
  • Mentor and quality-check work of junior and mid-level designers
  • Contribute to new business pitches and firmwide creative innovation

Attributes

  • 10-15+ years of experience in design and/or art direction, preferably within an agency or consultancy
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of conceptual and executional skills across media
  • Ability to present ideas within a strategic framework to non-design audiences
  • Deep understanding of design as a tool for communication and influence
  • Comfortable shifting styles and approaches to meet project needs and client feedback
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; knowledge of AI design tools a plus
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by making great work with great people
  • Up to date on cultural, news, and policy trends that shape the public dialogue

In Washington, D.C. the base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $130,000—$170,000 USD. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
