Position Information Working Title PLUS Tutor - Spring 2026 Department Learning PLUS Type of Work Study Federal, Institutional Building/Office Location UC - University Center Work Schedule THIS POSITION IS FOR SPRING 2026

Flexible, up to 15 hours per week; not to conflict with your class schedule. You will only work when students schedule appointments with you.

Completion of online orientation is REQUIRED before starting. Tutors will earn a raise to $10.75 after completion of Level 1 training. Contact Robin Theobald (carstensr@nku.edu) with questions. Primary Responsibilities Tutor NKU students who request assistance in improving their skills, knowledge, or understanding of specific courses; maintain accurate records. Maintain adequate progress with training and development. Other duties as needed. Qualifications REQUIRED:

Acquire signed faculty recommendation form and attach as "Letter of Recommendation" to this application. No separate letter of recommendation is required.

Form can be found at:

* 30 or more semester credit hours earned, including transfer/early admit work
* Grade of "A" or "A-" in course(s) tutored
* Enrollment in 6 or more semester credit hours during time of employment;
* Maintain GPA of 3.25 or higher

All new student workers must be able to come to campus to complete new hire paperwork.
