Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing branch operations, supporting the recruiter, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role ensures smooth day-to-day activities within the branch while aligning with corporate policies and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Development & Relationship Management
Maintain and grow existing client relationships through regular communication with project managers, supervisors, foremen, and owners.
Conduct weekly calls/visits with clients to review manpower needs and adjust as project schedules change.
Represent the branch at industry and networking events (ING, ABC Carolina, CFECA, NCAEC, NAWIC, etc.).
Build client trust through professional engagement opportunities, such as lunches or networking outings.
Branch Operations
Oversee daily branch operations and support the recruiter in delivering quality service.
Conduct weekly office meetings with the Regional Manager and recruiter to align on current and future manpower needs.
Review weekly AR reports with the Regional Manager and address any issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and directives from the corporate office.
Recruiting & Employee Support
Partner with the recruiter in conducting interviews and hiring qualified electricians.
Support employees in the field by ensuring they have proper PPE and resources.
Visit jobsites as needed to check in with foremen and employees.
Qualifications
Experience in operations, staffing, or related management role (construction/electrical industry preferred).
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to support recruiting and administrative functions.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable balancing client-facing responsibilities with internal operational oversight.
Minimal travel required (primarily branch-based with occasional local visits).
