Job Description

NVIDIA is a global leader in AI, computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing. Our Interconnect Manufacturing team drives excellence in New Product Introduction (NPI) for interconnect components and system assemblies. We are seeking a Manager, Interconnect Manufacturing to ensure seamless integration between interconnect design and manufacturing. In this role, you will fuel NVIDIA's innovation by championing DFM/DFA and spearheading Manufacturing-for-Design (MFD) initiatives, partnering closely with NVIDIA hardware engineering, interconnect suppliers, and Contract Electronics Manufacturers (CEM) to deliver robust, scalable interconnect solutions from concept through mass production. We're looking for a self-starter who communicates crisply, leads by example, and thrives on hands-on problem solving in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Implement NVIDIA's interconnect manufacturing strategy, align it to the broader vision, and translate it into actionable plans for your team.

  • Lead and develop a distributed team of experienced engineers, mentor early-career talent, drive programs from concept/exploration through implementation, provide technical mentorship and career development.

  • Provide manufacturability feasibility analysis, present options and ensure the products meet the optimal balance of performance, quality, scalability, re-use, reliability, cost and time-to-market, make and clearly articulate tough trade-offs.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams on automation initiatives, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency improvement.

  • Manage supplier development, qualification, and audit for interconnect fabrication, assembly, and sub-tier connector suppliers.

  • Continuously improve workflows, standards, and development methodologies, formalize guidelines and encourage adoption.

What we need to see:

  • B.S. degree, or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or material science

  • 8+ overall years of equivalent experience and 2+ years of experience in leading or managing interconnect manufacturing activities, proven leadership track record.

  • Highly motivated, creative, proactive, and adaptable with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, ability to think outside of box, positive interpersonal skills, ability to lead multi-functional efforts.

  • Deep understanding of interconnect design, mechanical system architecture and manufacturing process flow, good manufacturing practice and how to build successful products in large-scale environments.

  • Global awareness of the relevant high-speed signal design constraints, the industry partners and competitors, expertise in commonly used manufacturing technologies.

  • Team oriented with a "can do" attitude, highly enthusiastic in solving multi-disciplinary challenges.

  • Understanding of press-fit connector technologies, thermal-mechanical stack-up and flatness control (warpage, coplanarity). basic electrical test and signal integrity (SI) knowledge

  • Proactive attitude towards automation, process control, and cost/yield improvement. proficiency in NPI and supplier qualification

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong communication skills in working with diverse and versatile teams

  • Experience in functional tolerancing, GD&T, SPC, system assembly/testing, and a solid grasp of NPI processes.

  • Relevant design and manufacturing experience in midplane is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity.

  • Strong sense what 'perfection' looks like for each objective, with sound judgment to balance business realities, schedule, market conditions, and return on investment.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 196,000 USD - 310,500 USD for Level 3, and 232,000 USD - 368,000 USD for Level 4.
