Approximately 81% of hospital admissions originate from the ED, with 12% of ED patients admitted daily and 0.002% transferred. The ED team includes 23 physicians, and a fast trackstaffed by both MDs and APPshandles 40% of total ED volume. The locum physician will be required to supervise APPs and residents.
