Overview Junior DevOps Engineer Location: Chicago, IL Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to support the development, deployment, and operation of scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitHub Actions , GitLab CI/CD , or Azure DevOps . Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate builds, tests, and deployments . Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure in AWS , Azure , or GCP . Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform , CloudFormation , or ARM templates . Configure and maintain containerization with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Azure AKS/EKS . Implement and manage logging , monitoring , and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus , Grafana , ELK stack , Azure Monitor ). Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of systems and environments. Assist in troubleshooting production issues and participate in root cause analysis. Maintain documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools, processes, and best practices. Qualifications 1–3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or a related field. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
