Test Specialist (Instrumentation Technician)

Location : Greenville, SC 29615

Duration : 18 month contract

Schedule : M-F, 7am-4pm, up to 50% travel

Pay : Up to $30/hour

Required :

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in execution of industrial equipment tests.
• Familiar with testing equipment.
• Documents test results per ISO procedures.
• Support set up and facility trouble shooting as required.
• Configures, operates, and maintains instrumentation and data acquisition systems utilized by development laboratory.
• Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Lab View etc.)
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance
• Willing to travel 50% (domestically and internationally)

Overview :

• Install and troubleshoot instrumentation equipment for turbine testing
• Run efficiency tests at customer sites
• Coordinate with manufacturing and vendors on instrumentation assembly
• Collaborate on design and application of instrumentation for gas turbine hardware
• Manage validation projects and review budgets, schedules, and drawings
• Install cables in cable trays
• Pack, ship, and set up test equipment

Compensation:

$25/hr to $30/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
