Job Summary
A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Manager, Global Sourcing – Electronics to lead strategic sourcing initiatives within the electronics category. This individual will play a key role in driving cost optimization, supplier development, and long-term sustainability of the supply chain. The position is based in Deerfield, IL and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for electronic components (e.g., MCUs, memory, active devices) to drive cost efficiency, innovation, and supplier performance.
- Supplier Management: Build and manage strong supplier partnerships to ensure compliance with performance standards, contract terms, and long-term capability development.
- Global Collaboration: Operate as part of a virtual global team, collaborating across geographies and functions to share best practices and align on business objectives.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations, including terms for pricing, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, cost volatility, and geopolitical issues.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with engineering, quality, finance, and operations teams to align sourcing activities with corporate and product strategies.
- Innovation Focus: Stay informed on market and technology trends in electronics to advise internal stakeholders and anticipate future needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- 6–8 years of strategic sourcing experience in a global electronics or manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing at least 2 team members, including overseas associates.
- Proven success in establishing international supply chains and working with electronic component manufacturers.
- Strong knowledge of contract manufacturing and relevant production processes.
- Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to manage complex supply bases and drive supplier performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Proficient in sourcing tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel: Minimal travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: Estimated range $93,000 – $143,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Annual performance bonus or incentive plan eligibility.

- Hybrid work schedule based out of Deerfield, IL with a transition to a new state-of-the-art facility mid-2025.
