General / Store Manager – Role Overview

• Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor a team including Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Crew to deliver exceptional service, maintain high standards, and foster a positive workplace culture.

• Day-to-Day Operations

Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations: scheduling, inventory, cleanliness, equipment upkeep, food preparation, and cash handling.

• Financial Performance

Drive profitability by managing food costs, labor, utilities, and controllable expenses while pushing for sales growth.

• Hiring & Training

Recruit, hire, train, and coach team members. Ensure ongoing development especially for shift leaders and new staff.

• Compliance & Administration

Ensure adherence to health, safety, wage, ADA, OSHA and Firehouse Subs policies. Keep records, complete legal paperwork, and prepare reports on time.

• Guest Experience

Champion "Heartfelt Guest Service." Handle customer issues, ensure product consistency, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

• Community & Brand Representation

Promote marketing initiatives and participate in community outreach, including supporting the Public Safety Foundation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience:

Prior restaurant management (usually 3+ years) is required .

• Skills & Certifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
• Certification in food safety
• Strong financial literacy (P&L management, cost controls)
• Cash handling, scheduling, inventory management
• Physical Demands & Availability:
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and occasionally lift up to 50 lb
• Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Personal Qualities:
• Positive, organized, and customer-focused
• Excellent communication and leadership
• Ability to enforce policies while staying calm and professional
