Job Description

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Food Production Safety Manager to lead safety and environmental compliance across its Dallas manufacturing facility.

Summary:

This role is essential in fostering a zero-incident culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in food safety and workplace safety programs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, and FDA standards
• Lead internal safety audits and risk assessments; ensure timely corrective actions
• Provide training and technical support on safety protocols, emergency response, and food safety practices
• Partner with plant leadership to set and achieve safety KPIs and goals
• Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental reporting
• Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
• Maintain accurate safety and environmental data, including injury logs and compliance metrics
• Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and lead emergency preparedness drills
• Support cross-functional teams in food safety, sanitation, and GMP compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Food Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, safety or environmental compliance
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP regulations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety data management systems
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
• Experience with crisis management and emergency response planning
