Summary

This role is responsible for processing and verifying claims payment requests with a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and 1–2 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable. Responsibilities include vendor setup, discrepancy resolution, and communication with internal departments to ensure payment accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify vendor data in the system

• Process claims payments and validate coding

• Review supporting documentation for payment accuracy

• Confirm payees using policy and contract details

• Select vendors and third parties from approved lists

• Identify and resolve payment variances

• Communicate with claims department to clarify discrepancies

• Document issues and resolutions

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues

• Respond to inquiries regarding payment status and banking matters

• Ensure compliance with internal accounting controls

Requirements

• High school diploma required; some college preferred

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Understanding of accounting principles

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $47,000.00 per year
