Electronics Repair Technician

BSI Components and Repair is seeking to hire an Electronics Repair Technician with 3+ years of experience - no travel. Please don't apply if you can't read an electronic schematic or solder SMT parts down to 0402.

• Primary duty is the inspection, analysis, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of large industrial PCBs.
• Perform documentation creation/updates as needed to improve proficiency and efficiency.
• Operation, testing and repair of automated test fixtures and of various electronic products and mechanical assemblies.
• Firmware reflashing of communication PCBs.
• Conformal coating of component solder connections.
• Mechanical assembly of power converters.

Your Skills:

• Knowledge of low-power electronic circuitry and the ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with electronic part level inspection, analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis.
• Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and procedures.
• Soldering (SMT parts down to 0402).
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment.

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation:

• The annualized wage of $55,000 - $68,000 is commensurate with experience and skills.

Note that you will be asked to do a solder demonstration and technical interview.
