Location: Onsite near Morris, PA
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 3:00 PM (6.57 hours/day, 32.535 hours/week)
Contract Dates: August 20, 2025 June 4, 2026
About the Position:
Soliant Education is seeking a skilled Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support a student who is deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting near Morris, PA. This is a full-time, onsite position for the 2025-26 school year. The interpreter will facilitate effective munication between the student and their hearing peers, teachers, and school personnel, ensuring the student has equal access to educational content.
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa in educational settings.
Facilitate munication between the student and teachers, classmates, and staff.
Ensure the deaf or hard-of-hearing student can fully participate in classroom activities.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
Must reside within a mutable driving distance to Mansfield, PA. Candidates interested in relocating will not be considered, as the client prioritizes local availability.
Educational interpreters must meet Pennsylvania state standards: a minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score or full certification through RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf), no provisional certifications accepted.
Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday with consistent attendance.
