Job Title: Director of Trusts & Estates Tax

Location: Hybrid (NYC)

Reports To: Head of Tax Compliance & Head of Audit and Controversy

Our client is a large global financial services firm seeking a Director of Trusts & Estates Tax located in New York City. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of relevant tax compliance and planning experience, preferably from a big four accounting firm or family office. Please see below for additional information:

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all tax compliance and planning related to trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals.
• Provide advice and support on special projects and partnership tax compliance.
• Work closely with senior leadership and report directly to the Head of Tax Compliance & Head of Audit and Controversy.
• Coordinate with other tax functions, including legal and finance teams, to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
• 3 days in office (NYC).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of trusts/estates tax compliance and planning experience.
• Preferably big four or family office experience.
• CPA or JD strongly preferred.
• Excellent guidance on tax planning and compliance issues.
