Job Opening- Sr. Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer/potential Market President

Tonganoxie, KS

We are seeking a results-driven Sr. Vice President Commercial Loan Officer with the potential to lead our Tonganoxie market as Market President. This is a high-impact role for an experienced commercial lender who thrives in building strong customer relationships, leading teams, and driving growth.

This position will be responsible for management and growth of a diverse commercial and real estate loan portfolio while acting as a strategic partner to our customers, helping them achieve their business goals through sound financial guidance and customized lending solutions. This position also offers a leadership path, including oversight of Tonganoxie commercial and retail team members and direct responsibility for developing the market.

SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities

• Originate, service, and manage a wide variety of secured and unsecured commercial and real estate loans.
• Interview applicants to assess business operations, financial needs, and creditworthiness.
• Structure loan packages, analyze financial data, and perform credit checks and site visits.
• Approve loans within lending authority or present to Loan Committee.
• Monitor loan portfolio for compliance and performance; conduct collection activities as needed.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior officers.
• Supervise Loan Assistant/s, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and career development.
• Actively call on current and prospective customers to develop new business opportunities including both loans and deposit products.
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to meet customer needs.
• Draft and review loan documentation, ensuring compliance with Loan Policy and regulatory guidelines.

Develop working relationships with Tonganoxie team members and demonstrate leadership within the location.

Represent the bank with involvement in community activities, including meeting and developing working rapport with community leaders and organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
• 57 years of related commercial lending experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to assess risk, structure complex credit facilities, and maintain portfolio quality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work closely with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring staff preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory lending requirements, loan documentation, and underwriting standards.
