Clinical Research Assistant assists with the daily administrative activities of the Clinical Trials Processing Laboratory (CTPL). This is a non-clinical role with administrative responsibilities to support the lab. It does not include direct interaction with patients or the provision of clinical services. We are seeking candidates who are interested in a long-term commitment to this department. This position is not intended as a short-term or gap-year opportunity. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling monitor visits, responding to data inquiries from Clinical Research Coordinators, sponsors, and receiving labs, providing Clinical Research Coordinators with needed documentation, inventory monitoring of daily kit supplies, placing resupply orders, receiving supply shipments and maintaining supply room organization, maintaining outlook calendar for patient appointments and assisting with tube delivery to clinics in advance of patient visits and pickup of specimens after collection, follow-up on daily patient status, and other duties assigned by management including answering CTPL requests by email and phone, generating reports for management and leadership, training students on administrative tasks, and special projects. Minimum education required is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience. Experience in a clinical research and/or research capacity or setting is desired; computer skills required with experience utilizing Microsoft software applications desired. Must be able to effectively communicate face to face and in writing with clinical staff and outside collaborators. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
