In this role, you will emphasize the acquisition, development, and expansion of recovery skills, enabling individuals to fully engage in their recovery journey. You will provide interventions based on the therapeutic relationships you build with clients and their families, helping them access essential resources and support. Key Responsibilities include collaborating with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans, maintaining communication with referral sources and guardians, participating in meetings for continuity of care, assisting in researching and referring individuals to outside resources, scheduling treatment appointments and providing transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, supporting clients in accessing medical services and documenting services per standards, offering crisis intervention and facilitating group education sessions, pursuing professional development, utilizing peer support to foster recovery and resilience, helping individuals build connections with community and recovery supports, assisting in accessing information and support for mental health and substance use disorders, supporting independent choices in treatment, helping identify strengths and resources, assisting in setting and achieving recovery goals through mentoring, advocacy, and coaching, providing emotional and instructional support, encouraging healthy and sober lifestyles, aiding in creating personal treatment plans, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards, and showing interest in company goals. Education and qualifications require self-identification as a present or former client or person in recovery, one year of direct experience with the mental health system, completion of state-approved Certified Peer Support training within six months, meeting CPRS or CRSS standards, valid driver's license and insurance, age 21 or older, and minimum one year of recovery. Physical requirements involve light work with some walking or standing.
