Bridge Engineer – Rochester, NY

A growing civil and structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join its Rochester office. This role offers the chance to work on impactful state DOT and municipal bridge projects , with opportunities to contribute to all phases of design and collaborate closely with senior technical leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of bridge and transportation structures
• Support delivery of projects for state DOTs and local government clients
• Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Collaborate with senior bridge engineers and multidisciplinary project teams
• Participate in meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders
• Contribute to project documentation and reporting throughout the design lifecycle

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural concentration preferred)
• PE license required (or ability to obtain)
• 7–10 years of bridge design experience
• Proficiency with structural software and design platforms (e.g., MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AASHTOWare, AutoCAD, MathCAD )
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design
• Experience working on DOT and local government projects strongly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
