Bridge Project Manager – Buffalo, NY

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join its Buffalo office. This is a senior-level role responsible for managing bridge projects, client relationships, and business development initiatives while providing technical leadership on complex transportation infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be both a proven technical expert in bridge engineering and a strong leader with demonstrated experience managing projects, winning work, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all phases of assigned bridge design and rehabilitation projects
• Serve as the primary client liaison , ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction
• Lead and participate in business development efforts , including client meetings, proposal development, and presentations
• Provide technical expertise in bridge engineering, including design, analysis, reporting, and specification preparation
• Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across New York State, particularly with transportation agencies and municipalities
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical and professional growth of the bridge team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus)
• PE license required
• 15+ years of progressive bridge engineering and project management experience
• Experience delivering projects for NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Federal Aid programs
• Established client relationships within the New York transportation sector
• Proven track record in business development, proposal preparation, and project pursuits
• Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills; ability to represent the firm at a senior level
• Excellent project management expertise, with knowledge of industry-standard processes and tools
