Our client, located in Franklin, TN. is seeking a direct-hire Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company offering a fantastic culture in beautiful, downtown Franklin! This is a full-time, onsite role in a great working atmosphere. The ideal candidate will bring strong accrual accounting experience, a proactive mindset, and a friendly demeanor to serve as the onsite face of our finance department. Duties: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Close out monthly books accurately and on schedule. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements. Process and manage payroll. Book accruals and ensure all accounting entries are recorded in accordance with GAAP. Work closely with leadership to ensure timely financial reporting. Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners as needed. Requirements: Proven experience with accrual-based accounting is required. 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience with accounting software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills-this role is the main onsite face of the finance department. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus but not required. Familiarity with payroll systems and reporting tools.
