Your Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either in collaboration with supervising physicians or independently, depending on your credentialing
- Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management
- Prescribing various medications and therapies within the established scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care management
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver continuous, coordinated care
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records through electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Needed Certifications - Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or relevant equivalent
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ability to secure within 90 days)
