What You'll Be Doing - Carrying out comprehensive patient assessments, recommending diagnostic procedures, and crafting personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in tandem with physicians or independently (based on credentials)
- Informing patients and families on health promotion, wellness, and disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies in alignment with your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and seamless care
- Documenting diligently and accurately within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of California
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a corresponding specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
