Your Role Includes - Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentials)
- Educating patients and families on wellness, prevention, and disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies according to your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
- Documenting meticulously and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Prerequisites - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Recent graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Michigan
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or secured within 90 days)
