Key Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either collaboratively with physicians or independently (depending on credentials)
- Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention strategies, and disease management
- Prescribing medications and outlining therapies as per your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and overall chronic condition management

Essential Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure and Certifications - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in New Mexico
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
