Position Summary

Utility Support Associates may work primarily in either the Pack Room or Kitchen and will be trained to help in multiple functions throughout the facility. They will quickly adapt to any role to support workflow and cover vacations, absences, breaks, and lunches.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Understand food manufacturing and packaging processes and the interactions between each job function
• Provide support where needed to cover multiple positions in Kitchen and Production, including:
• Line Runner- Monitor food usage to ensure the line always has food ready to plate and package. Set up and keep unifillers and v-mag machines filled
• RTE Runner- Organize and stage meal components in Ready to Eat Warehouse and hand off to Line Runners. Handle Scanning and movement of food in RTE that are needed by the Pack Room
• Palletizer- Move packaged product from Pack Room, through RTE, to the freezer. Prepare for shipment to FulfillmentLine Worker- Plating and packing meals on the assembly line. Verifying labels, running the metal detector, making boxes, packing meals, and placing boxes on pallets
• CCRTE Line Worker- Move product through cooking and packaging. Ensure bags and boxes are properly sealed and labeled
• Sanitation Associate- Keep floors clean, trash removed, monitor rooms for condensation, and maintain SSOPs
• Kettle Tender- Prepare kettle recipes by loading, programming, temping, and harvesting Kettles. Assist with other food preparation tasks
• Blast Chill- Movement of food products into and out of Cryo-Cabinet and Blast Chiller and into the production holding area where it is staged for the Pack Room, and properly labeled
• Dishroom Associate- Responsible for cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment by hand washing at a sink, spraying large equipment with a high pressure hose, or running the dish machine
• Follow all GMPs and food safety rules including maneuvering through assembly lines in a way that does not cause cross contamination
• Ensure open food is covered when line is on break or during lunch hours
• During clean down and change over process, ensure all food is covered, returned to RTE, or other appropriate warehouse locations. Communicate to RTE personnel where each product has been located to
• Ensure trays, totes, etc. are emptied and delivered to

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) & food safety rules

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience using a scan gun, palletizer, and/or forklift
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Food production experience

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
• Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Able to perform repetitive movements
• Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
